Animal-Assisted Therapy
Animal-Assisted Therapy (ATT) is a type of therapy that incorporates human-animal interactions into a therapeutic treatment process. It is considered an adjunct to existing therapy and is led by a mental health professional competent to work with an animal in a therapeutic space. It is incorporated as an integral part of the treatment process by using the human-animal bond in goal-directed interventions.

With over 10 years of experience, Jennifer is dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and couples on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. Her passion lies in ensuring that her clients never feel alone during this process, providing a safe and empathetic space for growth and transformation.

Pastoral Counselor
Hayden earned his Bachelor of Ministry through Highlands College and Southeastern University. He has extensive experience working with youth and young adults in both church and community settings, with a special focus on creating spaces where people feel known, valued, and spiritually supported. Hayden brings a warm, intentional presence and a passion for guiding others through faith-based counseling. His approach is rooted in authenticity, empathy, and a deep desire to help individuals grow in both their faith and personal well-being.

Elena is a supervisee in social work and earned her Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked with various populations to address many mental health concerns, from substance use to generalized anxiety. Her true passion lies in trauma-informed care and assisting individuals in uncovering their own unique skills and tools to cope with their own lives. Elena's approach is rooted in empathy and a commitment to helping individuals heal and grow.

Rebecca is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Walden University. With years of experience working in the mental health field, she is committed to providing holistic, community-centered care.

Substance Abuse Counselor
Sara holds a degree in Psychology and English from James Madison University and currently serves as the Lead Counselor at Fairfax County’s Shelter Care Less Secure Detention Program. She is a member of the Trauma Champions Initiative and the Fairfax County Gang Task Force, and also serves as Vice President of the Board for the Front Royal Care and Repair Initiative. Sara is trained in substance abuse counseling, peer recovery coaching, and enhanced CBT techniques. Her earlier career included a decade as a federal policy analyst specializing in public safety IT initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, birdwatching, reading, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She is also an active volunteer in the recovery community, sharing her story of long-term recovery.

Emily Kurzik is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 3 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in residential treatment settings, focusing in particular on supporting young individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, trauma, and self-destructive behaviors. She earned her undergraduate degree in Global Affairs and Music from George Mason University and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. She is also a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors.

Billing Insurance Claim Administrator
Raeann was born and raised in northwest Georgia, and currently calls Birmingham, AL home. During her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, and curling up with her dog (Beau) and cat (Deddy Cat).
